Science Fair and Sprinkles

Our family stayed busy this week just moving from one activity to the next.  Monday was a nice enough day that we headed to the playground for some fresh air and exercise after William and Sarah got home from school.  Geral was thrilled to be outside running around and spent a lot of time giggling with joy.  Rachel was trying hard to have a good time but as you can tell from this photo, she was having trouble with her pants.  She couldn't take two steps without them sagging down.  Sarah and I kept helping her pull them up but it was quite the comedy.
This week was Lauren's science fair.  Her project was "The Effect of Electromagnetic Fields on Compass Deflection".  She didn't win a prize but at least she was wearing cute shoes.
In other news this week, Steven was voted by the teachers to be student of the month for his team at school.  He was pleased with that accomplishment and was really excited about the coupon for a free ice cream at lunch.  We also got a call from Lauren's friend Emily in San Diego that she is going to come visit us for a week!  She will get here on Saturday in time for the Valentine's Dance.  Everyone is looking forward to her visit.

Saturday was a primary activity, Breakfast with My Teacher.  The bishopbric cooked the pancakes and the teachers provided the toppings.  Sprinkles were the topping of choice by most of the primary kids and Rachel was no exception.  She had a different method of eating her pancake than most though.  She wouldn't let her teacher cut up her pancake for her because that would make the sprinkles fall off.  She very carefully lifted the whole pancake up, with the mountain of sprinkles in the middle, and took a bite of the sprinkles.  I don't think she ever got a bite of pancake but her mouth would end up encrusted with colored sprinkles.

Smart kid! That has to be the best method for eating sprinkles off pancakes I've ever heard!

Okay you know I'm not blog smart BUT I'll get it a try. Love the caption "A Husband, 6 kids and a Smile". Instead of where's Waldo?, where's Ralph? or are the kids looking at Ralph floating down the river (kidding, Ralph!)?
COME HOME WE MISS YOU!

oh and the picture with the pants falling down was classic! I have to pull Kayden's pants up all the time or else we get cracked- and well needless to say I am over seeing her butt! Oh and belts they dont help her.
