It Can Happen!

You know how every once in a while your kids do something that gives you hope for their future? They stop bickering for a few minutes and show compassion and kindness toward another family member which means that they have the capability to turn into adults that have those same characteristics. I walked into my daughters room this evening and this is what I found...

Two girls sharing one book. Lauren started the series last night and read all day. She caught up to Sarah who is working on the third book of the series. Lauren wanted to start the third book but Sarah was reluctant to give up possession.

So they worked out a compromise. Peacefully, happily, kindly.

It makes a mother's heart a little more joyful.

For those who are always on the lookout for good books for kids, they are reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. Very fun books and totally worth reading.

If only sisters got along this well all the time. What a great compromise.

Favorite series in our house. And I call that being "real". The rest of the time we are cheating ourselves and faking it when we don't get a long.
