Snow Caves

Yesterday, it snowed and snowed and snowed. Somewhere around 20 inches. Today, we had to dig out. While Ralph and I were digging out, the kids were digging in. They looked at the piles of snow created by shoveling it off the deck and driveway and decided they were the perfect start to some snow caves. This will be our kids first white Christmas and as a bonus we just got notice that school is closed for the week so they are starting Christmas break three days early! We will have to hit the sledding hill tomorrow.

Geral finds her way around the cars.
The view when we opened the garage door this morning.
Looking down the road.
Sarah, William and Lauren playing in the street.

Sarah floundering in the snow trying to cross from the street to the yard.
Steven is digging and digging.
William reminds me of a gopher popping out of his tunnel.
Lauren dug a tunnel she could crawl all the way through.
