A little Sarah brag.

Sarah started playing the flute last year in school and has really excelled. She was invited this year to participate in the Herndon Area Band which is made up of kids from the local area elementary schools. Thursday was their performance. It has been nice for Sarah to get to play some more advanced music. She also took part recently in the solo festival where the students play for judges who give them feedback on their performance. Sarah scored one, which is the best rating they can receive. And on top of it all, she just looks so pretty when she is up there playing. Her dad and I enjoyed spending the evening watching Sarah's talents grow.

It would have been wonderful to be at the concert with the band. We did enjoy Sarah playing the flute in church on Mother's day. You are right. She really is pretty up in front and playing the flute. Her flute accompaniment with the children singing was the perfect compliment. Mother Stacy and Grandmother Onalee couldn't have been more pleased. Grandpa Steve was well-pleased as well.
