Legomania!

Toy fads come and go even within the confines of the toys that we own. Toys that have languished unloved in the toybox for months suddenly become popular again. Well maybe not exactly in the toybox. More likely scattered across the playroom, cast aside without care, waiting to catch the unshod foot unawares. Nevertheless, toys that haven't been played with in a long time can catch the attention of a bored child looking for a change of pace and in seconds can become the most sought after toy in the house. This is the case with the Lego blocks that for the past couple of weeks have been enjoying a renaissance in our basement. William has been the driving force behind the renewed interest in the primary colored building blocks with a particular affinity for tall towers and boxy robots. He is joined frequently in his quest for height by his brother and little sisters. Alas, their endeavors have been limited by the meager height of our ceilings. It is always exciting to make the tower as tall as the ceiling and with our low headroom they won't run out of blocks on the way to their goal.
